1989 Chevrolet Cavalier r/s review from North America
"Don't buy a cavalier"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well for one my rad blew up litterly
second my stabilizer arms are rusted completly so the body rolls around in corners
Brakes need replacing
need new piston rings (burning oil)
Idling problem
replaced plugs and wires when I got it
month later had to replace them again
Tcc solenoid went at 218000km
passenger window fell off tracks
passenger side weather stripping leaks
Rustted out 1/4 panel on driver side
rust along bottom of doors
windshield cracked
top of windshield (roof) rusted
Sputters horribly and backfires
misfires and needs new exhaust
Signal lights tend to stop working randomly but 5 minutes later it works
Runs rich so its poor on gas but better then some cars
ceiling fabric has fallen glued it several times.
General comments?
Seats are Incredibly comfortable
Its got some pep for the age and model
I topped the speedometer out at 140 km.
