1997 Chevrolet Cavalier RS review from North America
"Good car for the inexpensive price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Driver's side door had to be re-aligned as the hinge had broken and it needed to be pulled very hard to shut all the way.
General comments?
The first winter that I had this car it rarely would start and it would sit in the parking lot for weeks before I could get it to start. I
took it in to my Chevy dealer to get the car looked at and to see if they could determine the problem of why it would never start. They told me numerous times that there was no reason that it should not be starting and did nothing to fix the problem. I am a college student and as a result I had a winter with a car that I was unable to drive for the most part.
The rear seat is very small for most adults.
The driver's seat and front passenger are fairly comfortable.
Overall I would recommend this car to a friend despite the problems I experienced with it. For a student I think that this is an excellent car.
