1989 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 review from North America
"Lots or torque"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well lets see. I had to replace the power steering line, ran a leak. Both ball joints went. both front end bearing went. Leaky gas tank which was not a nice job to do on your driveway..
Electronic control computer is on the rocks, but a quick fix is to disconnect it for a few hours and connect it back.. it works.. I got my cruise control back that way.
Other than that, it still running strong as ever.
General comments?
The cavalier runs and performs real well.. Lots of torque and passing power on the highway. The suspension is a bit on the unstable side due to the 60 series tires.. a low profile tire is needed.. but then you would have to change the rims..
You want to make your chevrolet last??
Switch to Mobile 1 syn oil.. Your engine will thank you. K&N air filter isn't such a good mod.. trust me..
