1989 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 review from North America
"I love my Z24"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Since owning the car since July2004 I've had to replace the upper radiator hose.
The front brakes and rotors only for wear and tear.
I noticed the fan was turning on so I had to run some wires and put it on a switch next to my steering wheel.
The muffler had to be replaced due to the fact it had a hole in it.
General comments?
I bought this car from a guy who had a 305 underneath the hood, for racing, but went and put the 2.6L back in it after he blew the 305 up. He said it didn't have enough power for him.
Car now has over 313000 miles on it, but new engine only has about 6000 miles on it.
Car still looks great with no rusted out sections of the paint and can still turn heads with the factory paint job.
I put a V-Force muffler on it after finding out the stock muffler had a whole in it and now the car sounds like I have a V-8 in it.
I no longer get harassed by any of the angry bumblebee imports and now even the American muscle cars are starting to get scared.
I love the feel and the sound of the car and would never get rid of this magnificent Z24.
