1992 Chevrolet Cavalier wagon review from North America
"Reliable, Reliable, Reliable!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alternator belt.
On about the 4th drivers seat.
Replaced front wheel bearing at around 450,000.
General comments?
This car is the most reliable car I have ever seen.
Quite good on fuel.
My only problem with the car is that the bucket seats are the worst seats ever put into a vehicle, the lumbar suport is gone very quickly and the rest goes after a short time. good thing they are cheap!
My grandfather baught this car new and drove it until 2001, at which time my aunt baught it off him.
After running the car constantly, they sold it to me for the large sum of 250$. I than drove it for the next 8 or 9 months, using the car like a truck (fenceposts etc) and also used it offroading. If you are looking for one, I would recomend the 2.2 automatic, I have had 3 of them, and all have been amazingly reliable.
