Please. Your Cobalt does 0-60 in 6.1 if you run it for all it's worth. A 15 year old Toyota Supra, with no modifications at all, will do 0-60 over a full second faster. Besides, running a Chevy engine that hard means that you'll most likely blow it up or replace a head gasket in under 60,000.

Nice job, you compared a supra to a cobalt, good one.
'they've made all of the Vettes and Mustangs look primitive' Haha, really? I highly doubt that, if the Supra was really that popular, they would still be selling the car here, but they don't. The word 'Toyota' and 'muscle car' should not be said in the same statement.
17:01, No, Toyota and 'muscle car' shouldn't be in the same sentence, because they've never made one. But the one SPORTScar that they've made is a few notches above any Mustang or Corvette. I don't care which Mustang you have, including the new ones; try following a Supra down any road with a few bends in it. You won't be able to. All the horsepower in the world doesn't mean diddly if you can't keep your car on the road, and Toyota did a better job of solving that problem years ago the Ford or Chevy ever did to date.
No way a Supra is better then any Mustang or Corvette. Ever heard of a Rousch Mustang?? That would out handle a Supra by far (and is faster), so would a C6. Like I said, if it's such a good car they would still make it and sell it here. Even a CTS-V could probably handle better.
Pfff.. a Supra. How many years has that car been out of production? No one bought them when they could purchase a Corvette for about the same money. Yes I know that there are people that have grafted large, single turbos and make over 1000hp. However it takes all day for it to finally spool up so the car becomes nothing, but a dyno queen. Toyota does not make anything resembling a proper sports car. The lexus division has a couple of quick sedans, but the LF concept car is ugly as all hell. But lets get back on topic, this is the Cobalt SS thread.
I bet you there on their way to making an Aveo SS. LOL!!
They'll just sit in the dealer lot.
Hey guys, I am going to buy a SS/SC Cobalt for my first car, and it's gonna take up most of my money, but once I have it for a little while I want to upgrade it. Any ideas on what I should do first?
I know this is a little late in all, but I have 98 Jetta VR6 5 spd with intake and exhaust system and I raced a Cobalt SS s/c the other day on the highway, I have no idea what it had done to it, but I walked it with no problem. Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather have a Cobalt SS s/c than a Jetta, but performance wise the VR6 is way better.
