2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LT 4 Door Sedan review from North America
"High Quality Entry Level GM Product"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
None, at this point.
General comments?
Engine is quiet and smooth.
However, interior could be more comfortable as seats are a little too firm.
Interior materials seem cheap and fit of trim fabric is somewhat uneven.
Paint appears to be top notch.
Overall fit of body panels is quite good and I have yet to hear any squeaks or rattles.
Car corners well and road noise is kept to a minimum.
Engine could be faster, but is adequate for everyday purposes.
I average 25 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. Highway gas mileage could be higher.
Nice stock stereo system.
Backseat is surprisingly roomy.
I would say this car has been reliable. Everybody seems down on GM at the moment, but from the car to the dealership I have had nothing but a positive experience to report. This is the 2nd new car I have owned ( besides the used cars ) , the first being a 2000 VW Beetle. The Beetle at the same amount of mileage already had numerous rattles, the window buttons fell off and I started having engine problems. So far, I am ahead with the Cobalt.
