General comments?

I have read the comments about this car

and so far it has been good. I bought the car from an auction, with all of its original parts except the alternator, around November of 2001 for 500 dollars. It had 150K miles on it, it was a V-6 and it looked basic enough to drive to get me to where I needed to go.

I have to tell you, I can't kill this car! I have driven it into the ground at least five times on the freeway. I have raced in this car and thought I had done a fair amount of damage to the transmission. But, when I start it the next day, it starts like it hasn't been taken out for a ride. I have raced Civics, Integra's, and Accords. This car keeps up with all of them. Last night I watched in amazement as my car pulls away from a civic with intake and a V-6 Accord!

I have really beat this car up. I drove it on the freeway past the 85 mph mark to where the needle was pointing down past the Neutral sign on the dash board. Keep in mind I have about 160k miles on this car when I was doing this.

But of course I had to install a few things like a K&N air filter and Bosch Platinum spark plugs. I do the occasional octane boost just to see what type of damage I can do, but that's about it.

I have to agree that this car can be a drinker sometimes, but change the fuel filter and buy a gas saving fuel additive and the car drinks like a four banger. But the advantage is that it doesn't take as much gas when you punch it with the additive in the tank.

This car will last forever! Just maintain it with the proper oil changes and you'll be fine. Buy a K&N air filter, install it and hit the gas and see if your head doesn't go back.

I have 170K still going strong.

Well worth my 500 bucks.
