"Worthwhile for the most part"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I purchased my Impala 8 years ago. It ran very well, extremely comfortable, and drove real good on the highway.

I only had two big issues with car, both relating to the computer. Both sides, the one associated with the engine and the one relating to the anti lock system, both cost me 1K and above, now the transmission is causing me to fail emissions, I guess I got my moneys worth. Anyone with any advice on how to get around getting a whole new transmission??

Is your transmission slipping or is it just an emissions thing? If it is slipping sell the car for a cheap price on craigslist.org. If the transmission is just an emissions thing, sell the car on craigslist for a higher price and mention that the transmission is fine except that it won't pass e-check (sell it to someone who lives somewhere that e-check is not required). Anyways my advice is to sell it and get another car.
