1997 Chevrolet K3500 Crew Cab 4x4 DRW 454 review from North America
"Great bargain used truck for HD usage"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Leaking injectors (still using them but it starts a little hard when warm), iron exhaust manifold shrinkage and bad exh. gaskets (makes a popping noise) and a few previous owner induced issues.
I did some minor bodywork on it since it was bought in salty, snowy New England; a couple holes on the bed, and minor surface rust on the door bottoms. But considering it had 162k on the clock, it's not bad.
General comments?
Feels solid after all these miles, needed a little TLC when I got it, but it pulls hard, blows no smoke, shifts well, and handles very good. Probably the rougher ride is from an unloaded truck.
The interior looks modern, but not too over the top, and the seats are comfortable.
