1991 Chevrolet Lumina Euro review from North America
"Dependable Bargain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The previous owner never really kept the fluids checked and the camshaft was a main cause in the engine being replaced. That and the rear shocks are fairly weak in supporting the car while accelerating. Even for a front wheel drive, it leaves room for improvement.
General comments?
Other than the engine replacement, the car runs short of perfect. It is very dependable and puts out 100 percent. Two problems that I've had occur was the trunk leaking, but the spoiler bolt holes were the issue at hand. I put in some Dynamax and it's never leaked again. The other is if you are a big music lover that owns subwoofers, the Lumina shakes like a baby rattle. If you go down that road, get a lot of Dynamax to sound proof the trunk and surrounding areas.
