1991 Chevrolet Lumina Euro review from North America
"Fairly reliable, but it has quite a few problems too"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My engine would stop mid driving and eventually decided not to start. I was told it was the fuel filter, then the computer controlling it. I got both replaced. It totaled to about $600.
The newest problem is my steering column is sending off a little wisp of smoke every once in while. I believe it has something to do with the turn signal and I may need to get the whole column replaced. If anyone can give me input on this particular problem, I'd appreciate it.
General comments?
The car has been pretty good and gets sufficient gas mileage, but the paint is starting to chip and there is auto body filler on the front bumper, meaning that it has been in at least one accident previously.
When I bought the car there was not a spare tire and I had to go out and find a rim that would fit (not too easy).
The inside of the car seemed immaculate when I bought it, but now appears to be diminishing quite rapidly.
