1992 Chevrolet Lumina review from North America
"Solid"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The alternator went in 2001. That was fixed with no problem.
The blinker stopped blinking. Had to operate manual blinking.
Breaks were always a bit soft, but just had to get used to them.
The Water pump went at 140,000. Was expensive to replace.
The engine seized up on me shortly after the water pump was installed. Needed a new engine, so I bought another car (a new lumina!).
General comments?
The engine in this car is powerful and it picks up fast.
The inside is sooooo comfortable. (So comfortable, my room mate and I slept in the car one night.)
Good, solid car. Perfect for young college students to cart around friends and dorm stuff.
Weight distribution in this car is weird, lots of weight in the front. Makes for intresting driving in the snow!
