2001 Chevrolet Malibu review from North America
"I think that I have way to much money in this car for what it is worth"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
In April I bought a used 2001 Chevy Malibu with 65,000 miles. Less than two days after I bought the car the air conditioning stopped working. They first replaced the lines that didn’t solve the problem. Next they ended up having to replace the compressor that cost me $700.00. After that the car would blow cold air, but would shut off when ever it felt like it. They then had to replace the resistor switch which caused me another chunk of cash. Finally I thought my problems were solved. They weren’t since then the fuel pump has went out costing me around $500.00. One day smoke started coming out of my back window buttons. I had to replace two power windows since I bought the car. Now this month my brakes need replaced. They aren’t lying when they say Malibu are hard on brakes. All this happen to me before I personally even put 1,000 miles on the car. The car came with a tape player. I having been trying for months now to find adaptors to hook up my cd player, but they don't seem to sell them or atleast I can't find them!
General comments?
The only good things I have to say about the car is that the oil is easy to change, and the seats are comfortable.
