1999 Chevrolet Malibu LS review from North America
"Great car, when you treat it nicely"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
-So far, since I got it I have had to buy rotars, brakes, tires, and struts.
-Tail light broken on halloween.
-drivers window rolls down, but not up.
-transmission is nearly destroyed, but still runs and I can't afford to fix it.
-Alternator went out completely about 200 miles ago.
-Speedometer is about 5 mph fast.
General comments?
This is a pretty good car, The guy I bought it from is now a nascar pit mechanic, so the car has the speed governor taken out and there are performance pistons in it.
It runs fairly well, but due too bad transmission, it shifts really late (sometimes not at all), and I usually have to let all the way off the gas to get it to shift; but it is the stock transmission, and the way I've beat that car I'm really surprised it still runs.
I'm going to be getting a saturn for gas mileage, just because this one waistes with the bad transmission.
