1998 Chevrolet Malibu review from North America
"The Malibu is a nightmare! It is to expensive to maintain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My brake pads and rotors have to be replaced every 10,000 miles and each time I must get my calibers rebuilt. There is also a humming noise that comes from the front right side when going over speed bumps or anything slowly. I have had problems with the tale light working properly, the horn works when it wants to it seems, driver and passenger seat-belts cracking and finally the blasted trunk doesn't open properly when the button is pushed.
General comments?
I have only had my Chevy Malibu for three years. It has given me nothing, but problems since the day I got it. I replaced the engine after having it for a year because of the radiator. I am a college student and I spend more money on this car than my education. It is very high maintenance. I can no longer afford this car along with the car payments and insurance.
