2000 Chevrolet Malibu LS review from North America
"Not a bad car as long as you have warranty or junk yard handy to you"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Same as every other Malibu out there... replace rotors at 30000 km with pads. replaced left front hub assembly twice, when ABS light came on. replaced power window button on rear passengerside now two years later master switch on drivers door for same window busted. paint flack from around the gas cap, "friend" at the dealer told me its common, but that's as far as it goes "common, but my problem". Molding around the windshield kept comming off, now have a new one curtusy of the dump truck throwing the rock. Now we have a mysterious shudder or vibration that comes and goes when driving over 65 kmh, don't know what the hec it is. not the wheels or tires as they have all just been changed over to my winters and still same problem. althought the tires I just took off the firestones were scalloped quite bad on the inside. they were on the rear. any idea on this one..
General comments?
Other than all of the usual Malibu problems, thank goodness its been all on warranty... car is comfortable and quick and powerful. fuel mileage on highway is great, but city is poor, but that's city driving for you.
