2000 Chevrolet Malibu review from North America
"Great comfort and style, built with shoddy parts"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
So far I have had to replace the fuel filter and fuel pump.
I have recently started to notice the engine surging that everyone was mentioning in their reviews. Still haven't been able to figure out exactly what causes it.
There is also a strange sound on front right side when going over bumps or dips. Sounds like it is the suspension. It has done this the whole time I have owned it as well as when my grandfather owned the car. I have had it checked and been told there is nothing wrong.
General comments?
Spacious and comfortable interior with more than enough trunk space.
Speaker system pretty good for stock.
Gas mileage is pretty good as well for highway driving, but not too good in the city.
Very good acceleration and handling, but loses a lot of power when you need to accelerate quickly and the a/c is on.
