1995 Chevrolet Metro review from North America
"Other than this recent starting problem, I love my car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My car is brilliant - I have loved it since I first got it, but recently, with snow melting in damp weather (0-3 degrees Celsius) it's not starting. The battery is fine, but she won't turn over. Is this happening to others? What are you doing to remedy? I've not had this problem with the damp until now. How can it be just because the car is getting older - the sealants are all still doing their job.
The wiring was all replaced last year and I don't know what else to do!
General comments?
My little '95 Geo Metro is a great car - has been reliable, has lots of pep, and up until this recent problem of not starting when it's damp, has been totally reliable.
Over the past number of years since I've had it, there have been repairs and replacements, but I expected all those things (brakes, bearings, belts, side moldings, tie rods, mufflers - lots of mufflers - windshield wiper fuse, etc.). Over all, even with the repairs, this car has more than paid for itself in fuel economy.
