1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z-34 review from North America
General comments?
I have a 95 monte carlo Z-34. The car handles great and seems to have plenty of power. However I have had a lot of the same problems as other people. About two months after I bought the car the reving problem started. (car would rev up to 2500-3000 rpm for a minute) I replaced all the sensors, still had problem. Ended up being the intake gaskets. I've talked with several people who had the same problem. I recently had a horrible oil leak (about one quart every three days). For those of you with the same problem there is a plug on your block at the end of your intake on the drivers side. It is held in by a distributor hold down clamp. This is a common place for the 3.4 to leak. To replace the seal is very difficult. I was able to lift the plug up and get some gasket sealer under it. Besides these few prolems I have enjoyed my car. I hope this has been helpful. THANKS.
