1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau review from North America
"A great car to customize, a few modifications would make it perfect"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have replaced the water pump. This was inexpensive to fix, but it was hard to remove the old one.
The plastic trim on the bumper has cracked, and one section fell off.
It should of had a steel bumper.
The weather strip around the window leaks. I plan to replace it soon.
I replaced an o ring around the fuel filter. This only cost ten cents. It was easy to replace.
General comments?
My Monte Carlo handles great.
It is under powered. A four speed automatic would be much better in this car. It should also have a four barrel
carburetor.
The car is very roomy. I have a bench seat in the front and back. It easily holds six people. My friend often jokes that you could do a cart wheel in my car.
It is an ugly faded yellow. I hate the color.
