Well, where do I begin?
First, the lid on the center console broke off. Had it replaced only for it to be broken two weeks later.
Then the switch for the hazard lights snapped off when I was dusting the inside of the the car.
Then my spark plug wires failed at 100,000 and my car was jerking around and "hiccuping" all the time. Had them replaced only to find out that the new set was defective and had to be changed. I asked the guy at the dealership if I needed new plugs too since they already had the exhast manifold off (why do they make cars where you can't even change your own spark plugs? Argh!!) and he said they were fine. Guess what... they weren't and I had to pay for the labor AGAIN!
About the same time as the spark plug wire problem, my driver's side window stopped working.. when it was all the way down in the middle of winter!
Had that fixed only for the window to come off the track two months later. Paid to have that fixed, and it still doesn't work right.
Somewhere along the way, I developed a leak and need a new upper plennum gasket and the o-rings. Oil is currently gunking up my spark plugs.
Also, all along this car has burned up about 1-2 quarts of oil in about 2,000 miles.
Locks on both sides are beginning to stick.
Oh yeah! I also had to replace the lock mechanism on the passenger side, and the window mechanism is next since my passengers cannot control their window.
Alternator went bad at some point before 100,00 and I had a couple of hoses replaced because they were cracked.
What else? Just before the dead heat of summer hit, my compressor blew. Somebody else who left a review on this car had the same problem. It still blows relatively cold air, but it makes a horrible noise when you turn on the A/C or defrosters. A/C seems non-existant on really hot days.
This car is pretty quick, but is most noticable in the higher rpms. Considerable power is lost when A/C is on.
Seats are VERY comfortable.
Handles well.
Breaks are terrible when it's raining.
Handles great in snow.
The car has 152000 miles on it cars are not made to last forever there made to break. That's how money is made. stuff breaks down after years you can't complain when your cars is over a 100000mi on it.
Spark plugs can be change out with alittle work. All you need is a long extension to reach the plugs in the back make sure you have a special socket for removing spark plugs. Also use a rubber hose long to place the spark plug down the the head.
Same problems here... driver side window is stuck, locks stick, motor is leaking oil, black paint is fading, timing belt blew this morning, 1200.00 thanks, nice kick in the pants this car has been. Nice car for cruising, but it can cruise through your pocket book easily also. It doesn't surprise me though, as everything these days- I'll just buy a two door Honda accord v-6 next. no more domestic crap for me.
