1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Starter motor died, numerous brake fluid problems.
General comments?
A 350 turbo transmission coupled with a 305 V8 is a nasty combination, even though the 305 is a low compression engine. With a Holley 4 carb and a dual exhaust, it would scream.
The car itself is absolutely beautiful... except mine was green, and this type of car needs to be either black or red to show its flanks and curves. I sold mine and bought an '88 Regal Custom which I also submitted a review for. And I still ask myself... WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! In short, if you can find one of these, by all means grab it! I'd take one of these over the new 2000 Monte Carlo!
