1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34 review from North America
"A cheap car with many problems"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This car is really nice although I have had the car in the shop five times since I bought the car for 2500. Once I bought the car it cost me a total of over 500 to repair the car to working condition. The first thing that happened was when I started the car it would idle high and stall out. I brought it into the shop to be fixed and found out I needed all new spark plugs plus 3 new vaccum lines plus a new gasket and a sensor. They thought that would fix it, but it still idled high and stalled out. They took it to a dealership and they put on a new fuel intake computer which so far has worked out. Five minutes after getting the car out of the shop for the first time in 2 weeks, the throttle cable wnt. That was cheap costing me $40. Then yesterday my window came off the track. I am fixing that by myself, but it is a pain in the rear end.
General comments?
I love this car despite all the problems that I have encountered. The car is extremely powerful which is nice. I would think about it before deciding to buy this car as I have put a good amount of money in to it. Good luck with your Monte.
