1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo CL review from North America

What things have gone wrong with the car?
Power steering pump leaked, but still ran for several 100 miles after it was fluidless.
Drain at bottom of windshield (under wire mesh in front of firewall) got clogged with leaves and leaked for several months into the car when it rained, until we found the problem.
Couple tail and headlights burnt out or needed adjustment.
Carburetor was rebuilt for better mileage and lubrication.
The radio is not that great. Tuning is poor as well as sound quality.
Gas mileage is disgusting. I average 13 miles per gallon. Premium helps a little and so do additives.
Seals and weatherstripping are cracked and rotting, hurting aerodynamics and fuel economy.
Headliner sagged when it was pressed.
Cold starts are a gas guzzler and the idle gets too high during them.
General comments?
Handles good, looks good, turns on a dime, inexpensive to buy now.
Car has good pick-up if you don't mind sacrificing gas mileage.
Hasn't broken down in 6000 miles.
A/c system was recharged with some 134a and it worked like a dream, but again blunting gas mileage.
The inside is gorgeous. The velor seats are very comfortable, although some more legroom in the back would be great. The gages are easy on the eyes, not distracting, everything is easy to reach.
The actual body has held up perfect in 2 minor collisions with non-cars (poles, shopping carts). The paint is starting to rust on the top, but still glossy on the fenders and doors.
