The air injection pump failed.
Spark plug wires failed.
Alternator failed.
Three way catalytic converter failed.
Oil pump drive "o" ring leaks.
This car handles good.
I just wanted to update my own comments. If you have had secondary air injection pump failure or spark plug wire failure call your local Chevy dealer and ask about the recalls for these items. I also replaced that leaking "O" ring on the oil pump drive shaft. Unfortunately the cylinder head must be removed to do this. As this engine is a double overhead cam design, if you do not have considerable mechanical experience, do not attempt this repair without professional help or take it to a qualified repair shop. The cost of the necessary replacement gaskets is also outrageous. The Z34 is a good looking fast automobile, but is very high maintenance.
