The radio had to be changed twice.
Not a true sports car.
But it's so close most people won't notice.
How is this not a true sports car?
How is, stiff sport suspension, 200+ horsepower not a sports car? How is the ONLY last big bodied 2 door car on the road today not a sports car?
I'd really like to know.
The term "sports car" has no meaning anymore. At one time it referred to a two-seat roadster with a convertible top, and if you wanted to get really picky about it, side curtains instead of crank windows.
But when people who bought Mustangs and Camaros in the 1960's started calling them "sports cars", it paved the way for anyone who had a car with the least bit of "sport" styling to claim it was a "sports car". So there were people calling their Dodge Dart GT or Chevrolet Nova SS a "sports car". Even the manufacturers got in on it, with Nissan claiming their Maxima was a "4DSC" (four-door sports car).
So who cares whether someone thinks a Monte Carlo is a sports car, or thinks it is not? The term does not mean anything anymore!
