1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS review from North America
"Very nice and affordable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Blown head gasket at 90,000.
Battery replaced at 75,000.
Alternator replaced 85,000.
Gas tank replaced at 85,000.
Hinge on console broke.
4-way button snapped off.
Dumb key-pass II system won't let me start car sometimes.
Winter makes the electrical system mess up.
Tires wear quickly.
General comments?
It's a very nice semi-sports car.
No manual option is a bummer.
Lacks low-end power.
Cabin is VERY nice and comfortable.
Handles good in winter with proper snow tires.
Mechanically very reliable for me.
Don't think it looks very sharp anymore, but cleans up nice.
I wouldn't buy another, its just not fast enough for me.
NEXT CAR------->>>> BIMMER!!
