1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo z-34 review from North America
"Piece of crap!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Center console lid broke
brake rotors warped
transmission failed at 70000 miles
alternator failed at 30000 miles
radiator leaked when new
O2 sensor failed at 80000 miles
rubber elbow to pcv valve broke
allowing huge vacuum leak
rear struts rusted out at 100000 miles
car never idles right when warming up hunts for proper idle speed
intake manifold gaskets replaced.
General comments?
If gm spent as much time on quality control on the engine and drive train as they do on vehicle exterior looks they might not build such troublesome cars.
