The thing's that have gone wrong with my Chevrolet nova are the following:
1) Points system needed replacement.
2) The transmission pan tens to leak.
3) Rust like to build behind the rear wheels on the body and around the wheel well's.Rust also appeared on the rear bumper.
4) The battery holder deteriated, but fix with vary little work.
5) The rear light fixtures leak water through the seals into the trunk.
6) The panle vent switches have got vary sticky over the years.
7) The N on the Nova decal has broke of 2 of the decals.
Note: These problems happened over twenty years of owership.
The Chevrolet nova is a vary well built vehicle. It is a dream to drive. The feeling of the power, the sound and rumble of the 350ci is like thunder in the sky. I think this vehicle is one of the best ever biult. But Chevrolet has made other vary good vehicles. But over all I think the Chevrolet nova is a good dependable car.
Hey just wondering what kind of gas mpg do you get on that thing? I'm thinking of getting one, but at this time of age that's the number one thing I'm looking to figure out, just post on this site again or fix up your entry or whatever so I can find out, thanks.
Mpg?
It's a relatively heavy car with a large 8-cyl engine.
If you're worried about mpg, go buy an old Corolla...
If you want performance I would go with a 2 door body. The earlier the better...Novas, Chev II were terrors on the track. I drove a 396 Nova SS...
