Choke sticks a lot in the winter.
Short in the wires.
Takes a long time to warm up.
This is one of the funnest cars I have every drove. It can run very good for the small engine in it. Very safe car.
It handles really well. If you want to spin the tires you car very easy. Nice and comfy bench seats. This car will last a very long time if token good care of.
It does seem odd to say that a 5.0 liter V8 is small when considering the engines that are out there today. In 1978 though, the 305 ci engines put in most chevys were pretty sucked out for their size, they were detuned and had lousy, performance killing, emission control devices. Basically they took a low tech engine and tried to de-smog it with a ton of useless restrictive crap, where as now the whole engine is built with emissions in mind. Depending on the carburation and specific model that engine could have under 200 horse. An 83 camaro with a 5.0 put out about 180 horse.
In context of a 78 Nova the 5.0 is the small engine, where as a 350 (5.7) would be moderate to big, and a Big Block Chevy is probably what he wants.
