1986 Chevrolet Nova 4 door review from North America
"Great little car. A bargain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Exhaust system (flex pipe to tail pipe required replacement (parts cost approx $150 and a good grinder).
Body around rear wheel wells has some rot.
Ignition system hesitant in wet weather
around 30 mph.
Vacuum system is a bit of a mystery.
General comments?
Good basic transportation (to a from work and the store).
Paid $1,200 in early 2000 and less than
$500 in parts since then, a lot cheaper
than car payments. Have two now (the
'86 and an '88 automatic) and am looking for another.
There are two things which will survive
a nuclear war, cockroaches and the 4A engine.
