"Very reliable and affordable"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Rust on the outsides of the wheel wells.

Not many other problems.

General comments?

This car is one of the most reliable cars out there. It is 20 years old and I can still hit 85 mph on the speedometer (that is as far as it goes) I am the second owner and am impressed with both the way it drives and the amount of gas milage that it gets. I average over thirty miles per gallon. It has still started in twenty degrees below Fahrenheit. I recently painted mine and fixed the rust/ body damage.

If you like this Nova, you'd love the ones from the 60's and the 70's! The Nova you have is actually an inferior Toyota clone while the earlier models were engineered and built in America by Americans!

The 80's Nova and 60's-70's Nova are two completely different cars. The 80's Nova is just a Toyota Corolla with the Chevy name. They're cheaper to buy then a Corolla and just as cheap to operate. I wouldn't call them inferior because they're very reliable, and I've seen them with over 300,000 miles and still going strong. The earlier models are good if you like big muscle cars, but aren't so concerned about gas mileage.
