1976 Chevrolet Nova 2dr coupe review from North America
"I would never part with this car for any price!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Routine maintenance only at expected mileages & ages. Harmonic balancer came apart at 145,00 miles.
Carb seemed to need rebuilt every 20K miles. or so with replacements about every other time.
Replaced original 250 engine & TH 200 trans. at 150K miles. because of engine leaks & trans was getting sloppy. Still ran good.
Seat was junk after 90K miles.
General comments?
Daily driver for much of the last 24 yrs.
Most reliable car I have ever owned.
Can easily be made into an extremely beautiful vehicle that turns heads routinely.
Fast enough for a 6 & good mileage for a big metal car.
Still easy & cheap to find parts.
