General comments?
I kept this truck garaged, and I babied it. On top of that, I only put 10k miles on it per year. But it doesn't matter.. these trucks are so poorly engineered and manufactured, that it WILL break, regardless of it being babied. The front suspension is fragile, and the interior is cheap.
The ONLY good thing I can say about this truck is the gas mileage.. If you drive like a little old lady and don't romp on the gas pedal, it can get very good mileage.
I would never recommend a S-10 to anyone, and am glad to say mine is getting traded in for a Tundra.
I always owned American trucks, but never ever again, after the experience with this Chevy, and the Ford before it. GM should be ashamed of this vehicle. It's criminal in this day and age to produce a vehicle that is this bad. With the quality Toyota and other foreign companies are famous for, no one should buy one of these.
