"Great dependable little truck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had to replace the fuel tank at about 74,000 miles due to rust.
The body was terribly rusty when I got the truck, have fixed it since.
The rear brakes are slightly sticky.
Seemed to eat about a quart of oil every 1,000 miles or so, but then again I was using real cheap oil at the time.
Cruise control and emergency brake did not work when I bought it.
General comments?
Bought this truck from the original owner who treated it religiously.
Looks to be in tough shape, but everything in the cabin still feels brand new, and mechanically it's in perfect shape.
This truck drives real nice on the highway at 60 or 65 mph. Anything over that is pushing this baby to its limits.
At 79,000 miles it drives like it was new, except for the shocks which are rather bouncy.
Winter driving is pretty slick in this in this 2wd truck
Around town, if I drive it REAL nice, I can get about 17mpg. Usually I get about 12 to 15 mpg in town. Somewhere around 21 highway.
I'm 6' and the cabin could be a few inches longer, but it's not too bad to complain about. Long trips sitting on the little bench seat sometimes leaves me limping.
I removed the crappy factory speakers and receiver, and put in a CD player and better speakers.
