1993 Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe LS review from North America
"Dependable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Overall, only minor/known problems.
The heater core went out ~60K and was replaced for ~$300.
Driver side of bench seat started tearing ~95K.
Paint on the lower body is chipping and rusting.
General comments?
This is my first truck and I bought it about 14 years ago. It is as reliable as you can expect a vehicle to be. Other than the heater core, she has only required routine maintenance but, now she needs some body work/paint, but what car doesn't after 16 years?
I have the Tahoe V6 2.8L model with a manual transmission. She gets great gas mileage and accelerates well when you keep the RPMs up.
I wish Chevy still made these little trucks. I will drive this truck into the ground and cry the day she dies.
