1998 Chevrolet S-10 LS review from North America
"Overall value is very good for a truck this size"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Third Door Handle broke at 58,000 KM.
Spare Tire Hoist failed at 61,000 KM, and luckily the wheel fell off truck, in an unpopulated area and I recovered same.
Serpentine Belt Tensioner, spring broke at 56,000 KM.
GM Parts (Third Door Handle, Spare Tire Hoist Mechanism, Belt Tensioner) very
expensive, considering the materials
they are made from. Simple parts like these are highly overpriced, in Canada.
General comments?
Truck handles very well on long highway
trips, seating with lumbar adjustment
helps to prevent fatigue, that I have
experienced in other makes of vehicles.
Air Conditioning in summer, Heater in Winter, come on line very quickly, and
provide the necessary seasonal comforts.
