1991 Chevrolet S-10 review from North America

The engine was rebuilt at 182000 miles.

The cloth bench seat is ripped all over.

It still has the original clutch, which will need to be replaced sometime.

The stock tape player was replaced with a cd player.

The heater blower went out at 204,000 miles.

The front anti-sway bar end links broke when I took a jump in the woods.

I hacked off the old exhaust after the catalytic converter and put on a glasspack. It sounds pretty good now.

Just for the heck of it I took off the old horn and put on a Oooga horn.

I also put on a push-bar on the front that I made.

I put on a set of wheels and center caps off of an older S-10. The look great.

I also put a vinyl seat out of another S-10 in back of mine.

My S-10 has a bit of a rust problem. the cab and box are rusty, but somehow the frame still looks as good as new. The tailgate rusted so bad that it was no longer operational, so it was replaced.

This truck was and still is extremely reliable.

It gets great gas mileage for a truck.

I have taken my 2 wheel drive S-10 out on the frozen lakes many times without getting stuck. I have however gotten the truck stuck in mud up to the doors though and had to walk out an honest 8 miles to a paved road to get help.

I think that I can honestly say that I beat the heck out of it. I take it out in the woods mudding on a regular basis, and it still runs great.
