2000 Chevrolet S-10 ZR-2 review from North America
"Good mid size 4x4, sporty"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This is about my 2000 Chevy ZR2 4x4.
Like others on this site I recently had a problem with breaking off the lever to recline the driver's seat. I was not pulling overly hard, and the lever just came off in my hand. The seat got stuck in the forward position and it was very difficult to get it back again.
This truck uses a lot of gas: 16 mpg average.
The 4WD works really great, just press a button. The 4.3L is a must for this truck, plenty of power.
I have a limited slip differential on my ZR-2, which makes both rear wheels always spin out on the snow, much more easily than expected. It's easy to fishtail in 2WD, but basically never in 4WD.
Interior is great, stock audio quality is fair to poor.
Have had some problems with the 3rd door handle sticking, but hasn't broken yet.
