Transmission tail shaft seal leak, 98,000 replaced by dealer.

I love this truck! I have only been left stranded one time in the six years I have owned it! That was the oil cooler line, pretty minor malfunction. I have use this truck for everything from commuting to work, camping, shooting, my own business and towing a small trailer. Flying colors all the way!

The interior has worn fairly well, a few minor things broken, but most of them I replaced myself or simply glued back into place. A few small rattles and squeaks, but nothing too irritating.

The 4.3 liter Vortec belongs in the Smithsonian! At 116 thousand miles it still pulls and runs like new, and doesn't smoke or stall at all. A little rough when first started, but as soon as the oil gets flowing its perfect. Oh, even with my moderately geared rear-end (3.80) it still gets 20mpg on the freeway. It is easy on maintenance; oil filter and grease religiously, other filters as needed.

All repairs not covered by warranties were pretty easy. Still on first trans, alternator, starter, and first brake rotors!
