1991 Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe review from North America
"A good dependable vehicle and a good buy for the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The radiator went out after 7 years.
General comments?
The truck has been unbelievably dependable.
Very economical, about 19mpg in town, 25-27mpg on highway.
Large 20 gallon tank is very handy.
It's a good truck for hauling and moving small and medium loads.
The truck has failed to start only twice in 13 plus years and the reason it didn't start was my fault, I'd left the interior lights on, which ran the battery down.
The 2.8 V6 could use more power, but hasn't bothered me enough to want to part with it.
They could have made the oil and fuel filter easier to get to.
Very good air conditioner and heater.
I'd like to buy a new one just like it for $8995.
