1999 Chevrolet S-10 review from North America
"Money Pit!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Handle on Passenger side fell off 31000
Handle on Driver side fell off 33000
Hatch window squeaks horribly
Driver side door pins replaced at 40000
u-joint replaced x2 at 45000
Passenger front baring replaced at 50000
lights on steering wheel and radio went out at 52000
small rust spots are showing up all over in the paint
Driver side window works when it feels like it.
Service engine light is on and I have taken it in to be put on the computer and the computer reads that there is nothing wrong. They reset the computer in the truck and the light still won't go off.
General comments?
OK are you all ready for the kicker on this one I replaced my oil reallocator line (hole in it caused by vibration against the body of the truck) in January of 2004. May of 2004 I had to replace the whole engine, due to the oil sending unit malfunctioning. That was a wonderful set back financially. I just had got the truck paid off and was happy that I didn't have to owe on it anymore until the engine blew and I had to finance that.
