"A boyle on the butt of humanity.."

What things have gone wrong with the car?

At 24,457 miles I started to have vibration problems from the exaust.

At 36,392 miles I had to replace the bearings and the U-joints.

At 42,688 miles the Fuel pump went out.

At 51, 912 miles the water pump went out.

At 68,343 the bulbs keep blowing on the taillights, dealer cannot figure out why.

At 75,129 miles I replaced the Catalynic converter and major exuast pipe from engine as particles were released into the exaust from engine.

Major defect on Chevy S-10.

At 94,000 I had to replace wiring in vehicle, I was the Cops best friend for having no tailights...

At 112,740 miles the ball joints and tire rod gave way while driving at 50 mph as the wheel folded under my car.

700.00 repair.

We won't even mention the crummy breaks

I have had to replace 4 to 5 times.

The front mirror likes to fall off from time to time, The lever broke that adjusts the bucket seat.

Other than the Engine, Transmission and Clutch I think I have replaced everything else. Oh, the heater works great! That will probably go next!

Oh, by the way, the truck was made in Canada on a Tuesday in april 1998, must hae been the Stanley Cup playoffs that were more interesting that day!

General comments?

The chevy is a great vehicle if you like blowing 500.00 or more every six months for repairs. The inside has a nice looking cab, but is not comfortable for long rides, The arm rest was great unitl it caved in. My wipers go on sometimes for no particular reason, It rides nice when it's not in the shop,

Actually the S10 trucks were all built in Louisiana. The Blazers were made in New Jersey. Neat trucks.

Dude, paying 500 bucks every six months for maintenance on a vehicle goes hand in hand with driving a vehicle... If you drive a BMW or Lexus, be prepared to pay a helluva lot more in oil changes alone...
