Truck is the base model, 4cyl 5 speed. Barely makes it to 85mph on the interstate. Always a problem when using the A/C. However, with as many things that have gone wrong with the truck. I still can't seem to part with it. The transmission shifts smooth, lots of pep for a 4cyl motor. Dash lay out is great, perfect look to the truck. I have always been a Ford guy, but this truck will run circles around a Ford Ranger. These are good trucks, unusual for so many problems?
I hope that I don't sound too condescending towards chevy, but S10s are notorious for cheap materials, loud cabin, and weak seals and fittings and such. Solid driveline ususally. Proof is right here on this site, in proportion to rangers, there seems to be more bad s10 reviews. IMO I wouldn't buy either, but hey that's just me.
Yeah, I totally agree. The ride quality is horrible. My fuel pump broke at 36000 miles, and the weather strips died on the passenger side. the car is super heavy for some unknown reason, and the craftsmanship is just below average. I would never get one again.
