1998 Chevrolet S-10 LS review from North America
"Won't own another one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At 80,000 miles had to replace water pump.
At 85,000 miles had to replace the brakes for the 3rd time since I owned it.
At 86,000 miles hood latch broke. also in the same year tail gate cables broke.
At 90,00 passenger side mirror broke while driving down the interstate.
At 100,000 miles alternator went out.
At 105,000 miles drive shaft broke in
half while driving 30 mph down a smooth road.
Every time I fill up with gas my service engine soon light comes on and stays on till I get to a 1/4 tank. the dealer says its the 4x4 transfer light and my truck isn't evan 4x4.
Wind shield wipers work when they want to and some times they stop when they are straight up.
General comments?
This truck is dependable for about 5,000 miles at a time then something will go wrong you can count on that.
Overall is a good truck if you drive about 5 miles per day just to and from work.
