2001 Chevrolet S-10 ZR2 review from North America

Lower ball joints needed replacing when the truck was purchased.

Not surprising - the seat latch on the drivers side was broken when the truck was purchased.

Left door hinge pins needed replacing soon after buying this truck. Cured third door and left door rattling on rough roads. Also cured wind noise at speed.

Bought this truck at a very good price because of the high mileage. The body colour is black, both the paint and body are in excellent shape, no dings or rust. The underbody still looks new. The repairs I have done to this vehicle are minimal considering the mileage.

I put synthetic oil in the truck about 4000 kilometers ago and it has not used any oil and the oil is just beginning to blacken now. The truck must have had synthetic oil in it for it's lifetime because I have no leaking seals after putting in the synthetic oil.

The engine runs like a clock and has lots and lots of torque, pulls very well. Fuel economy could be better, but that may be more of a case of my heavy foot simply because the truck is a blast to drive! This truck handles excellently and rides like a car, the enhanced suspension really does the trick.

I honestly cannot say anything bad about this truck, you would never know it had as many miles on it as it does because it drives like a newer vehicle. All in all a totally happy ZR2 owner, I wish all you ZR2 owners out there could say that!
