1980 Chevrolet Scottsdale review from North America
"The last year of the true American trucks"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The original 305 let go a few years ago.
Rusted out, but that's an 80 Chevy for you.
Replaced the tires when we bought it.
No floor boards.
General comments?
The truck was originally bought as a work truck by my Daddy. It became known as ole blue. We used it for several years for pressure washing houses, which we had to carry a water tank around. That was hell on the motor, but it kept on getting it till about 2 years ago when it let go.
Since then we pulled the old 305 and dropped in a fresh 350 bored .060 over. with edelbrock intake. Holley 600 carb, longtube headers and a mild cam. We got Flowmasters out the back.
We redid the whole interior and put carpet in it, a new dash pad, reupholstered the seat. And put an all new Pioneer system in it. We got all the sheetmetal from LMC.
I love my truck and will never get rid of it.
