2007 Chevrolet Silverado review from North America
"Poor ABS systems for all year Silverados"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My ABS has started activating every time I apply the brakes. The only time I don't notice it is if I slam the brakes on. This started after my truck reached the 36,000 mile warranty. It doesn't matter if the road is dry or wet. When I apply the brakes, it's OK until I get to the very last part of stopping, then I feel it in the brake pedal and I hear the ABS kick in. This is really scary when you are behind someone and they put on their brakes, you apply yours and hope that you get stopped before you rear-end them.
My 2002 Ford Focus I had before I traded for the Silverado gave me problems as well. I took it in under warranty for the O2 sensor and the EPC valve. Then there's the stitching in the back seat started to unravel.
Maybe I should by a Toyota, American cars are crap with "quality". I think I am going to look at a Toyota Corolla or Camry and trade that 2007 Silverado off. GM has lost my confidence in them.
