1999 Chevrolet Silverado LS review from North America
"The perfect work horse"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The steering column slip-joint on the shaft that connects to the steering box went bad causing vibration in the steering wheel at around 18,000 miles. Dealer replaced it no charge.
The trailer wiring harness quit working. Dealer replaced the fuse no charge.
General comments?
This truck is very powerful for the small V8. I tow a ski boat and a 30' fifth-wheel camping trailer with no problem at all. (no not at the same time)
The seats are very comfortable.
The truck rides better than a lot of luxury cars.
Good factory sound system.
